Is your cat having odd cat behavior?
Sometimes some cat behavior isn't a big deal.
Just make sure your cat is still eating, drinking, using the kitty litter and still has energy, it probably isn't that big of a deal.
Is your cat still using the kitty litter?
If your cat isn't using the kitty litter, then try cleaning it. Cats are very picky animals. Cats won't use their litter box if its not cleaned. They will even hold it in and not use the litter box until you clean it. You should clean the kitty litter about once a day.
Once you've cleaned the box your pet will probably start using the litter box.
If your cat still isn't using the kitty litter then go to the store and buy a diffrent brand of litter. Your pet may just not like the way the kitty litter feels against their paws.
You could also try moving the litter box to a different spot or even getting a new kitty litter box.
Is your cat pooping somewhere out of the litter box?
This can be a very disturbing problem.
I had this issue with my own cat. Instead of using the litter box she would poop somewhere else.
I stopped the problem by showing my cat where she pooped. I showed her the spot and said "NO". Then I brought her to her litter box and put her inside. I gently grabbed her paws and moved them through the litter box as if she were digging.
She still pooped somewhere outside the litter box. I did the same thing again, and the problem was solved. Now, she always goes to her litter box.
Do you ever see your cat scratching the furniture? That is a bad behavior but easy to solve.
The big deal is that you should get a cat scratching post. If there are any other behavior problems your cat might have I suggest to not confuse your cat, and if the problem gets big try going to the vet.
The best time for cat training is when your cat is a kitten but, if you have an adult cat you can follow the same guidelines.
Teaching your kitty to use the cat litter will be an easy task because using the cat litter box is an instinct for cats.
Show the kitten where the litter box is and put the kitty in it. Then grab the kittens paws softly, and move their paws through the litter box like they're digging. That's all you have to do. The kitty will now use the litter box.
A cat that scratches can be a huge problem for many people. A lot of cats scratch furniture and their owners are not too happy. You should train your kitty now so that you won't have that scratching problem.
The first thing you should do is get a scratching post or pad for your kitten. Cats won't stop scratching because their nails get stronger, healthier and they need to stretch out.
If the cat continues to scratch the furniture then get a spray bottle full of water and spray them just a little everytime they scratch your furniture. The water won't harm your cat but they'll stop because they don't like the water.
You can also give your pet cardboard to scratch. Cats love cardboard.
